Kara Brodgesell is a photographer and videographer known for lifestyle, story-driven and on-location shooting.
She graduated from Wesleyan University with degrees in Fine Art Photography and English, a 1-2 humanities punch that she has been cultivating for most of her life. She worked in fashion photography in New York City before relocating to San Francisco in 2011, because it is there that she's offered rides on prototype electric bikes, where composting is mandatory, and where coastal hikes and farm-to-table meals are commonplace.
Her work highlights her love for visual storytelling and she is most excited when she is outside or learning something new. While based in San Francisco, she will happily work wherever she's asked.
Her clients include: Adaptive Path, Atlassian, Bare Escentuals, Condé Nast Traveler China, Dropbox, Facebook, Fast Company, Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, Gray Market Design, Ilk Outerwear, Ink Paper Plate Press, Intercom, Minted, Remodelista, Say Media, SPUR, Third Love, Trail Mavens, Triple Aught Design and The Workshop Residence.
You can see more of her photography on her wedding website Kara Brodgesell Weddings and Dogpatchwork- an ongoing project documenting businesses and creatives in the Dogpatch neighborhood of SF.
